Greetings from Lara!

Sukhihotu! In ancient Pali language, it means "May you be well and happy!" This is my first greeting to visitors of this blog and to all living beings and it would also be my sign off.

I woke up early this morning bursting with ideas on a blog about women's spiritual journeys. Yes, before we get into this "oh no, not another of those 'gender equality' and 'feminism' bits", let me first clarify that I am a product of the "go-getter" and "women-can-do-it-too" era. It has been TOUGH and believe me, I am now searching and learning how to raise my 9-year old daughter so that she could be empowered without compromising her feminine qualities.

Basically, this blog is about stories of women in search of their spirituality in all their multiple roles: daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, wife, mother, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, career woman and a member of her local community.

Ah, the call of chores beckons. I hope you will visit again when I have more stories and knowledge to share.

Sukhihotu,

Lara
